Box Score Knox Ties His Career-High With Game-Best 15 Rebounds
CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Haverford raced out to a 40-19 lead and held off a second half charge from host Washington College in a 66-61 win at the Cain Athletic Center on Monday night in a Centennial Conference men's basketball game.

How It Happened
-The Fords would take the lead for good with 15:10 remaining in the first half on a Joe Scibelli three-pointer at 7-6. It was part of a 10-0 run that turned a 6-2 deficit with 16:47 left in the first half to a 12-6 lead with 12:37 to go in the first on a Walt Plumlee free throw.
-Leading 27-17 with 6:36 to go in the opening frame, Haverford scored the next 13 points to take its biggest lead of the night at 40-17 on a fast-break layup by Kyle Goldfarb. The Fords would take a 40-19 lead into halftime.
-Washington would open the second half on a 16-4 run to cut the lead to single digits at 44-35 on a conventional three-point play by Tas Dixon.
-The Fords would score 14 of the next 23 points to take a 58-43 lead with 8:33 to go on a Plumlee basket.
-Washington would answer with 14-2 run to trim the visitors' lead to 60-57 with 50 ticks left on a triple from Pat Morgan.
-Anthony Reyes was fouled with just under 20.6 seconds left and three seconds remaining on the shot clock. He sank two free throws to give the Fords a 62-57 lead.
-The Shoremen would get within three on two more occasions, but each time Reyes would can two from the line to salt the game away for the Fords.
For the Shoremen (2-14, 0-9)
-James Drury (team-high 16 points), Dave Knox (game-topping 15 rebounds to tie career-high), Dixon (seven assists to match personal-high and three steals to tie for tops in game).
-The Shoremen shot 31% from the floor, 20% from three-point range and 72% from the foul line.
-Outrebounded the Fords by a 41-36 margin, outscored the guests in points off of turnovers (20-9) and had 10 of the game's 14 transition points.
-Forced 20 Haverford turnovers while committing just 10 turnovers.
For Haverford (3-13, 1-8)
-Sam Stogdan (10 points, team-best 14 boards for double-double, game-best four blocks and tied for tops in the contest with three steals), Reyes (game-best 20 points), Scibelli (13 points), Plumlee (10 points), Goldfarb (four assists).
-Shot 65% in the first half and 51% for the game. Shot 65% from the free throw stripe and 50% from beyond the arc, including 71% in the first half.
-Totaled six blocked shots in the game.
Notes
-Knox totaled 15 rebounds for the third time in his career. His other two came on December 29, 2014 versus DePauw and on February 11, 2015 at Haverford.
