Box Score Gaeffke, Wilkinson Score for Shoremen in Win
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Host Washington College scored once in each half, including one goal less than two minutes into the game, en route to a 2-0 blanking of visiting Wesley College in a non-conference men's soccer game between the two Delmarva rivals tonight on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium.

How It Happened
- It took the Shoremen only 1:50 to score as Kyle Gaeffke scored his first collegiate goal off an assist from Chris Lewandowski. Brian Wilkinson helped set up the goal as he had a ball blocked by a defender that went back to Lewandowski. Lewandowski gathered the ball and passed to his right to Gaeffke, who blasted it into the upper part of the goal.
- Wilkinson had a terrific chance to score in the 11th minute, getting behind the defense for a shot in the middle of the box that went just wide to the left.
- The Shoremen held a 6-4 advantage in shots in the first half.
- Washington picked up its second goal at the 57:12 mark when Wilkinson scored on a penalty kick after drawing a foul in the box.
- The Shoremen limited Wesley's offensive possession the rest of the way and went deep into their bench late in the contest.

Notes
- The win for the Shoremen broke their five-game losing streak against the Wolverines. Their last win in the series was a 3-1 triumph on October 16th, 2007.
- This is the seventh time in as many games this season that the Shoremen have out-shot their opponents.
