CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Swarthmore got game-highs 31 points and three steals from Cam Wiley en route to an 84-61 win over host Washington College on Thursday night in a Centennial Conference men's basketball game at the Cain Athletic Center.

How It Happened
- After the Shoremen took a 6-4 lead on a Brandon Berry jumper in the paint 4:32 into the game, the Garnet scored the next seven points to take lead for good. Wiley capped the spurt with a transition layup with 14:19 to go to give Swarthmore an 11-6 lead.
- The Garnet took their biggest lead of the first half with 4:52 remaining in the half on a Zack Yonda bucket to give the visitors a 35-20 lead.
- Washington would answer with a 13-7 run to end the first half to cut the Swarthmore lead to 40-33 at the break. A layup by Nick Schmelzer with 35 ticks left in the half provided the final two points of the stanza.
- Leading 46-39 with 16:25 to go in the second half, Swarthmore scored eight straight points in a 95 second stretch to take a 53-39 lead with 14:26 remaining on a Yonda lay-in.
- The closest the Shoremen would get the rest of the way was nine points on two occasions. The final time was with 12:54 left in the contest on a Joey Shelton jumper. The Garnet would lead by as many as 26 at 82-56 with 2:46 remaining on two Yonda free throws.
For The Shoremen (6-12, 2-9 CC)
- James Drury (team-best 11 points), Josh Porteous (three assists to lead squad and two steals to tie for team-best), Shelton and Steve Low (two steals to tie for team lead).
- The Shoremen outscored the Garnet in points off of turnovers (15-12) and bench points (30-19).
- The Shoremen shot 37% (22-for-59) from the floor, 27% (5-for-18) from three-point range and 80% (12-for-15) from the foul line.
- Washington had just 10 turnovers while forcing 15 Swarthmore turnovers.
For Swarthmore (15-3, 9-2)
- Wiley (game-highs of 31 points and three steals; career-high in points), Yonda (23 points and game-high seven boards), Chris Bourne (11 points), Nate Shafer (game-topping four blocks).
- The Garnet shot 53% (31-for-58) from the floor, 30% (6-for-20) from three-point range and 73% (16-for-22) from the free throw stripe.
- Swarthmore outscored Washington 21-2 in second chance points, 40-18 in points in the paint and 12-4 in transition points.
- The Garnet had a 45-25 advantage on the glass, including a 27-9 edge in rebounds in the final 20 minutes.

- Entering tonight's game, Swarthmore leads all of the NCAA in rebounding margin per game at a clip of +14.6 boards per game. Division I's North Carolina is second in all of the NCAA entering tonight with a margin of +14.2 rebounds per contest.
