Box Score Drury Leads All Players With Season-High 21 Points
CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Franklin & Marshall overcame a three-point halftime deficit, outscoring host Washington College, 43-29, in the second half to come away with a 74-63 win on Saturday afternoon in a Centennial Conference men's basketball game at the Cain Athletic Center in the home finale for the Shoremen and it was also the team's Senior Day.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen's two seniors, Bryan Shapiro and James Drury, scored the game's first two baskets to give WC a 5-0 lead. Shapiro started the scoring with a three-pointer just 34 seconds into the game and Drury made it 5-0 on a layup from Shapiro.
- Trailing 19-18, Washington went on an 8-0 run to take a 26-19 lead with 4:35 to go in the half on a Dixon free throw. Washington would take its biggest lead of the game with 2:55 remaining in the stanza on two Nick Schmelzer free throws following a technical foul against the Diplomats.
- Franklin & Marshall would respond by scoring seven straight points to cut the lead to 32-31 on a J.C. McGrath traditional three-point play with 51 seconds left. Washington's Armand del Castillo closed out the first half scoring with a steal and fast-break layup to make it 34-31 WC at halftime.
- In the second half, the Shoremen took their biggest lead of the second stanza at 38-33 with 18:52 left on a Drury lay-in.
- Trailing 43-42, F&M took control of the game with a 12-0 run to grab a 54-43 lead with 12:49 remaining on a Matthew Tate triple. Ignas Slyka started the run and put the Diplomats ahead for good with a layup with 14:45 to go.
- The closest Washington would get it the rest of the way was seven points when Drury hit a transition three to cut the F&M lead to 55-48 with 9:20 left. The Diplomats would push the lead to 14 with 4:37 to go on a Jared Wright trey.
For The Shoremen (7-16, 3-13 CC)
- Drury (game-high and season-best 21 points), Dallas Marshall (eight points and game-best nine rebounds), Tas Dixon (team-high five assists and career-best two blocks to tie for game-high), Del Castillo (nine points, 4-for-5 shooting).
- The Shoremen outscored the Diplomats in points in the paint (32-30, transition points (11-6) and bench points (22-19).
- The Shoremen shot 51% (23-for-45) from the floor, 46% (6-for-13) from three-point range and 65% (11-for-17) from the foul line.
- Washington had 21 turnovers.
For Franklin & Marshall (16-7, 10-6 CC)
- Tate (squad-best 17 points), McGrath (team-high 17 points and team-best seven rebounds), Brandon Federici (14 points and five assists), Hunter Eggers (11 points), Wright (game-bests of eight assists and three steals), Slyka (contest-best three steals).
- The Diplomats shot 40% (25-for-62) from the floor, 33% (10-for-30) from three-point range and 58% (14-for-24) from the free throw stripe.
- Franklin & Marshall outscored Washington 23-4 in points off of turnovers and 11-2 in second-chance points.
- The Diplomats committed just six turnovers.

- Drury was named the McDonald's Shoremen of the Game on the webcast.
- Washington had its second-best shooting performance of the season, trailing just the 56% the team shot on January 14 against Dickinson.
- Each team had 33 rebounds in the game.
- Drury notched his sixth career game of 20 or more points.
