Box Score Shorewomen Improve to 5-2 with Victory
BEL AIR, Md. — The Washington College women's tennis team, ranked eighth in the Atlantic South region, won a non-conference women's tennis match against Goucher, 7-2, this afternoon at Harford Community College. The Shorewomen improved to 5-2 with the win, while the Gophers fell to 3-4 with the loss.

Doubles
- Julie Lazer and Rachel Martinez at No. 1 and Krista Filiopoulos and MP Hubert at No. 2 both posted 8-0 doubles wins for the Shorewomen. Lazer and Martinez blanked Alice Goldstein-Plesser and Leigh Oehrig at No. 1, while Filiopoulos and Hubert shut out Ali Gorson-Morrow and Mandile Mpofu at No. 2.
- Goucher picked up a point at No. 3 thanks to an 8-3 victory by Mackenzie Donohue and Ali Tomasevich against Kiran Pant and Mariah Thomas.
Singles
- The Shorewomen won at the top five singles spots, dropping just eight games in the process. Martinez and Hubert both posted shutouts as Martinez topped Oehrig, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2 and Hubert won by an identical score against Gorson-Morrow at No. 4.
- Lazer was a 6-2, 6-0, winner against Mpofu at No. 1, Filiopoulos topped Goldstein-Plesser, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 3, and Pant defeated Tomasevich, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 5.
- Donohue recorded the Gophers' second win at No. 6, defeating Thomas, 7-6(4), 6-1.
