WESTMINSTER, Md. — Host McDaniel College scored in the 72nd minute and that was all the offense the Green Terror needed in a 1-0 Centennial Conference men's soccer win over visiting Washington College this afternoon in Westminster, Md.

How It Happened
- McDaniel's Nick Bowman tallied the first shot on goal, in the fifth minute, and it was saved by Washington goalkeeper Josh Samuels.
- A header by Evan Savoth, saved by Nick Over, in the 28th minute, was the Shoremen's first shot on goal.
- The two teams finished the first half with just one shot on goal each; the Green Terror held a slim 5-4 advantage in total shots in the half.  
- A free kick by Griffin Bull for the Shoremen in the 57th was saved when Over dropped to his knees to make the stop.
- Savoth sent a header wide of the goal on a long throw-in into the box by Brian Graham in the 66th minute. Over made a save on a Kyle Gaeffke shot in the 71st.
- The Green Terror broke the scoreless tie when Raul Escobar scored off an assist from Dominic Byerly at the 71:55 mark.
- Over stopped another shot by Gaeffke in the 82nd to preserve the shutout.
