Zedlar Tallies Team-Best Eighth Double-Double of Season

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Muhlenberg downed host Washington College, 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-22), on Saturday afternoon at the Cain Athletic Center in a Centennial Conference volleyball match.  The Mules conclude their regular season at 20-7 overall and 7-3 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen finish their campaign at 10-16 and 3-7 respectively. 

Muhlenberg 3 Washington College 0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-22)

How It Happened
- In the opening set, Muhlenberg trailed 22-21 following an Abby Smith kill before scoring the final four points to win the set.  An assisted block by Maggie Enestvedt and Erica Schultz game the guests a 23-22 lead and Tara Register registered a kill to end the set. 
- The Mules led 16-14 in the second set before going on a 9-4 run to end the set as they clinched it on a Rebecca Shear service ace. 
- Washington led 22-19 in the third set before the Mules went on a 6-0 run to end the contest as the Shorewomen took the three point lead on an attack error by Muhlenberg.  An attack miscue by the hosts tied it and Enestvedt gave Muhlenberg the lead on a finisher.  An attack error by the Shorewomen ended the set and match.

For The Shorewomen (10-16, 3-7 CC)
- Lauren Zedlar (15 assists and match-best 11 digs), Jensyn Hartzell (12 assists), Jenny Kabrick (10 digs), Lizzie Baden, Cassie Kowalski, Kaitlyn Marino and Isabella Sansanelli (six kills)
- Washington had served up two aces on the day.
- Washington hit .109 and rejected four Muhlenberg attack attempts.

For Muhlenberg (20-7, 7-3 CC)
- Enestvedt (12 kills), Schultz (three blocks), Shannon Hubert (28 assists), Maya Illovsky (nine digs), Kelly Tornetta (three aces)
- The Mules hit .118 in the match and had three blocks.
- Muhlenberg served a total of five aces.

Notes
- Zedlar was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewoman of the Match during the broadcast.
- Prior to the match, the team recognized seniors Baden and Marino.
- Zedlar finished the year with eight double-doubles which led the team.  Kowalski finished second on the squad with six as the team had 24 double-doubles on the campaign.
