Shoremen Win All Six Singles Matches to Complete Comeback
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. — The Washington College men's tennis team rallied after losing all three doubles matches to win all six singles matches en route to a key 6-3 Centennial Conference win over host Ursinus this afternoon. The Shoremen improved to 6-6 overall and 4-2 in conference matches, while the Bears fell to 10-6 and 4-4. The Shoremen are now just one win away from clinching a spot in the Centennial Conference Tournament.

Doubles
- Max Oberholtzer and Paul Vecchio rolled to an 8-1 win over Chris Salisbury and Jake Sandler for the Bears' first point at No. 1.
- Connor DeFaber-Schumacher and Matt Fontanese then finished an 8-5 win over Koby Bonta and Andrew Smith at No. 3, followed by a win by the same score for Mason Groff and Peter Shields over Luke Weaver and Justin Panepinto at No. 2.
Singles
- The Shoremen's first point of the match came at No. 2 singles where Sandler beat Groff, 6-4, 6-2. Bonta then completed a 6-1, 6-2, win against Shields at No. 4 and Weaver bested Vecchio, 7-5, 6-1, at No. 3 to even the score at 3-3.
- Panepinto's 6-2, 6-0, win over Fontanese at No. 6 put the Shoremen in front and August Meriot clinched the Washington victory with his 6-2, 6-3, win against DeFaber-Schumacher at No. 5.
- Salisbury then tacked on the Shoremen's sixth point with a hard-fought, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5, win against Oberholtzer, the Atlantic South Region's 22nd-ranked singles player, at No. 1.

4/21 v. Gettysburg - 1:00 p.m. (Centennial Conference match)
- The match against Gettysburg will be the Shoremen's Senior Day match. A win would clinch a spot in the conference tournament for the Shoremen.
