Box Score Chadam Scores Game-Winner in 63rd Minute
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Aidan Chadam scored the game-winning goal in the 63rd minute as host Washington College defeated visiting Stevenson University, 2-1, in the men's soccer season opener for both schools this afternoon on KIbler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium.

How It Happened
- Liam Mansfield put the Shoremen on the board at 4:49 by finishing off a ball sent into an open box by Kevin Sawyer following a throw-in.
- The Shoremen nearly took a 2-0 lead in the 22nd minute when James Strine sent a booming free kick to the goal that had to be punched away by a jumping Matt Stellitano in goal for Stevenson.
- Stevenson knotted things up at 52:40 when Diego Guerrero rocketed in a ball off a clearing attempt by the Shoremen.
- Stellitano knocked another Strine shot on goal away in the 55th minute, this time on a header.
- Dylan Holy had a nice rebound chance for the Mustangs in the 58th that was stopped by Washington goalkeeper Gavin Campbell.
- Chadam gave the Shoremen the lead by heading in a goal off a corner from Kyle Kirwan at 62:45.
- Tariq Lee had a scoring chance for the Mustangs in the 77th, but his breakaway attempt was stuffed by a diving Campbell.
- Holy sent the ball high on a header off a free kick in the 89th minute for the Mustangs' final scoring chance.
