Gettysburg Defeats Shoremen, 197-58

Mandrell Finishes Second in Two Events for Shoremen

GETTYSBURG, Pa. — Host Gettysburg College won all 14 events en route to a 197-58 Centennial Conference men's swimming victory over visiting Washington College this afternoon.

Shoremen Highlights
- Gage Mandrell finished second in two events for the Shoremen. He was second in the 1000 freestyle in 10:13.88 to become the Shoremen's seventh-fastest swimmer ever in that event. He was also second in the 200 breaststroke in 2:18.20.
- Teague Sauter placed second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.28. He was also third in the 500 freestyle in 5:20.39.
- Andrew Feeley was second in the 100 freestyle in 49.96.

Notes
- The Bullets were competing in their season opener. The Shoremen fell to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in conference meets with the loss.
