Box Score CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The host Washington College men's tennis team was defeated by the Salisbury Sea Gulls, 8-1, inside the Johnson Fitness Center on Friday. The Shoremen fell to 3-1 while the visitors improved to 5-1.
Doubles
- The Shoremen were unable to pick up a doubles point as the Sea Gulls won all three matches. Kyle Hickey and Andrew Smith fell by a count of 8-4 against Alec Angradi and Ian Siew at the top position. Ryan Santmyer and Brad Pappalardo teamed up to edge August Meriot and Koby Bonta, 8-6 at No. 2 doubles. Paul Eisenmagen and Christian Gruyon dropped an 8-5 decision to Patrick MacLean and Stefan Hein.
Singles- Bonta was the lone Shoremen to win in singles as he took the No. 2 point by a score of 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) over Siew. Bonta improved to 4-0 on the season. No. 1 Eisenmagen, No. 3 Meriot, No. 4 Hickey, No. 5 Andrew Province and No. 6 Gruyon all fell sin straight sets.
