SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Host Swarthmore got a double-double of 23 assists and 11 digs from Dani Pena in a 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-18) win over visiting Washington College in a Centennial Conference volleyball match on Wednesday night at Tarble Pavilion. Swarthmore improves to 8-5 overall and 4-1 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen drop to 8-9 and 1-4 respectively.

How It Happened
- After losing the first point, Swarthmore would take control of the first set by winning the next seven points to take a 7-1 lead on an ace by Kaylee Zhang. The Garnet clinched the 12-point win on a service error by the Shorewomen.
- Leading 22-21 in the second set, the Garnet would win the final three points of the set to win by four as they held off a Washington rally. Dani Pena ended the second set with a kill.
- Swarthmore won 10 of the final 13 points to break open a 16-15 lead and go on to a seven-point win in the third and final set. A service miscue by WC ended the contest.
For The Shorewomen (8-9, 1-4 CC)
- Lauren Zedlar (10 assists and six digs to lead team), Courtney Maxwell (seven kills, seven digs and two aces), Jordan Fairchild (seven digs), Riley McHugh (contest-topping three blocks)
- Shorewomen had five service aces and four blocks in the match as they hit .049 as a team.
For Swarthmore (8-5, 4-1 CC)
- Pena (23 assists, match-high, and 11 digs), Trisha Razdan (eight kills to lead all players and three aces), Zhang (14 digs for match-high and three aces), Sierra Tyson (13 digs and contest-high four aces)
- Swarthmore had 11 aces and one block in the win, while hitting .215.
