Dennis Sets Personal-High with 15 Saves
CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Sarah Chapman scored the game's only goal with 1:58 left in overtime from Hazel Miller to give visiting Bryn Mawr a 1-0 win over host Washington College in a Centennial Conference field hockey game on Wednesday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Owls improve to 7-3 overall and 2-2 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen fall to 5-5 and 1-2 respectively.

How It Happened
- Maddie Knight had the game's first shot on goal, but her shot was stopped by Bryn Mawr goalie Maggie Titus with 5:12 left in the first quarter.
- In the second quarter, Kate Gromacki had a scoring chance off of a penalty corner, but her shot went just to the right of the goal with 9:12 to go.
- The Owls rolled off three shots on goal in a 44 second span late in the second quarter, but WC goalie Sasha Dennis turned away all three and the game went into halftime scoreless.
- Bryn Mawr's Kate Ervin beat Dennis on her shot 1:46 into the third quarter, but could not beat Gromacki who netted a defensive save to keep the game scoreless.
- Julianna Sterling nearly put Washington ahead with 8:50 to go in the third as her shot got past Titus, but Owls' defender Claire McGowan was able to keep the ball out of the cage for a defensive save.
- Sara Rilett nearly put the Owls ahead with 4:41 left in the third off of a penalty corner, but her shot went just wide left of the cage. It was first of 10 shots Bryn Mawr took the rest of the quarter with eight on target as Dennis denied all eight.
- In the fourth, Gromacki had a chance to put the hosts ahead with 5:18 to go, but it just went wide to the right. She had the final shot of regulation with 63 seconds left, but Titus made the save.
- In overtime, WC had the first four shots, but only one on goal.
- With the Shorewomen trying to clear, Miller stole the clear, dribbled down the left side and her pass found Chapman who redirected it in the air into the left side of the cage for the walk-off score at the 8:02 mark.

Notes
- Dennis was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewoman Player of the Game during the broadcast. Her career-best 15 saves were the most by a Shorewoman since Kayla Zapcic '21 had 15 stops versus Ursinus on October 30, 2019.
