Box Score Teams Play Exhibition Matches as WC Did Not Have Enough Players
CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Dickinson was awarded a 5-0 win over host Washington College on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference men's tennis action at Schottland Tennis Center. This was due to the Shoremen having just three players as four players is required to play a match. The two teams did play one exhibition match in doubles and three exhibition matches in singles with the Shoremen winning three of four. It was the season finale for both teams.
Dickinson 5 Washington College 0 (Forfeit Win)
Doubles
- The exhibition doubles match was won by Washington's duo of Landon Strober and Ian Hewes as they won 8-4 over Dickinson's Joey Bolanos and Romano De Caprio.
Singles
- The Shoremen won two of the three exhibition singles matches.
- Strober won, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles over the Red Devils' Lenoid Sorkin.
- Hewes won, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 2 singles against Dickinson's Levi Veleanu.
- Bryce Perritt won at No. 3 singles for the Red Devils over the Shoremen's Christian Gruyon, 1-6, 6-3, 6-0.
Notes
- Washington finishes 3-7 overall and 2-5 in the Centennial, while Dickinson finishes 2-5 overall and in the conference.
