FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Freshman
Kohl Perkins (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) won the B4 Singles flight and senior
Karl Hoegstedt (West Chester, Pa./B. Reed Henderson) advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Championship Singles Flight for the second straight year at ITA Southeast Regionals on Friday and yesterday as the Washington College men's tennis team concluded its fall slate this weekend on the campus of Mary Washington University.

Singles
- Perkins began his quest to the championship with an 8-3 win over
Taylor Fox of Hampden-Sydney in the round of 16. In the quarterfinals, he edged Marymount's
Dorian Guiot, 8-6, and then topped Ursinus'
Ethan Yu in the semifinals, 8-5. In the final, Perkins downed
Jameson Sposato of Grove City, 8-3.
- Hoegstedt had to go to three sets before getting past
Cooper Knutson of Franklin & Marshall, 6-1, 3-6, 14-12 in the first round before handling
Daniel Loder of Haverford, 6-1, 6-0 in the second. In the round of 16, he took both sets from
Alec Strause of Christoper Newport, 6-2, 6-4. His quest for the title came to an end in the quarters as he fell to Johns Hopkins'
Hanyu Liu, 6-4, 6-4.
- In the Championship Singles Flight,
Landon Strober won his first round match over
Raahil Doshi of Carnegie Mellon, 6-1, 6-0 and
Andre-Remi Jakobi advanced out of the first round with a 6-0, 6-3 triumph over
Alen Curovic of Virginia Wesleyan.
Doubles
- In the Championship Doubles Flight,
Jack Fanshawe and Jakobi won 8-4 over Carnegie Mellon's Doshi and Jaden D'Abreo in the first round.
- In the B1 Doubles Flight,
Johannes Ludgwistorff and Perkins took home a win in the round of 16 over Stevenson's Chad Smialek and Larry Johnson III, 8-6.
