Box Score Newport News, Va. – The Washington College men's tennis team fell to the No. 34 ranked Christopher Newport Captains, 6-3, on Sunday afternoon on the Eyre Courts. The Shoremen fall to 5-4 while the hosts improve to 7-4.
The Captains took two of the three doubles matches and then put the event away by winning four of the six points in singles.
Senior Koby Bonta and junior Landon Strober defeated Paul Baron/Mason Kolls by a score of 8-6 to win the No.2 doubles point.
Junior Karl Hoegstedt and freshman Brady Burns recorded the two singles points. Hoegstedt defeated Ryan Macy in two hard-fought sets, 7-5, 7-5 at No. 1 singles. Burns was victorious at No. 5 singles as he recorded a come-from-behind win against Tyler Hun, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

- Hoegstedt improved to 6-1 this spring at No. 1 singles.
