Box Score Morrall Scores Five Times to Tie Career-High and Registers All-Time Best Five Caused Turnovers
CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Junior midfielder Ellie Morrall (Contoocook, N.H./Hopkinton) tied her career-high with a game-best five goals and notched a personal-high five caused turnovers as host Washington College coasted past visiting Swarthmore, 15-6, on Wednesday night at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in Centennial Conference women's lacrosse action. The Shorewomen improve to 6-9 overall and 4-4 in the conference, while the Garnet are 8-6 overall and 3-5 in Centennial play.

How It Happened
- Tobin Chambers opened the scoring 2:24 into the game for the Shorewomen on a pass from Morgan Sutherland before Emma Holub would tie the game for the Garnet with 11:23 left in the first on an unassisted goal.
- Sutherland would find Chambers again with 9:15 remaining in the first to put Washington ahead for the rest of the game at 2-1.
- After Colleen Keefe cashed in on a free position with 6:35 to go in the first to make it 3-1, the Chambers-Sutherland connection struck again as Chambers scored her third of the game and Sutherland notched her third helper to push the lead to 4-1 with 4:38 remaining.
- Morrall would score the final goal of the first with 2:42 left to make it 5-1 and she would score both second quarter goals to give WC a 7-1 lead heading into halftime.
- Swarthmore scored the first two of the third quarter to trim the lead to 7-3 with 10:51 remaining on a free position by Eleanor Miller.
- Morrall would respond with the next two goals to restore Washington's six-goal advantage at 9-3 with 7:52 left as she scored twice in 35 seconds.
- Kyra Hall would net a goal with 37 ticks left in the third to get the Garnet within five, 10-5, heading into the fourth.
- The Shorewomen would put the game away with five straight goals to open the fourth with Sutherland giving the hosts a 15-5 advantage with 10:23 left as the five scores came in the first 4:37 of the fourth. Ashley Devlin assisted on the first three scores of the fourth and the team's final goal of the third to chalk up helpers on four straight Washington tallies.
- Francesca Richardson scored the final goal of the game with 7:42 left for the visitors.
For The Shorewomen (6-9, 4-4 CC)

- The Shorewomen outshot the Garnet 29-27 and had 15 caused turnovers.
- WC went 12-for-18 in clears, went 2-for-4 in free position shots and picked up 25 ground balls.

- Swarthmore was 2-for-4 in free position chances, totaled 18 ground balls and recorded 10 caused turnovers.
