Team to Host Franklin & Marshall on Tuesday in CC Tournament

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College, ranked 14th in the Atlantic South region, concluded its regular season with a 9-0 win over visiting Muhlenberg on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference men's tennis action at Schottland Tennis Center.  The Shoremen will host Franklin & Marshall on Tuesday with a match time of 5:00 p.m. in the first round of the Centennial Conference Tournament.

Doubles
- Andrew Smith and Christian Gruyon took home an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles over Muhlenberg's Derek George and Josh Benson.
- The Shoremen picked up a win at No. 3 as Johannes Ludwigstorff and Aaradith Ravichandran downed Issac Shulman and Noah Katz, 8-1.
- In No. 1 doubles, Landon Strober and Koby Bonta came away with an 8-3 win over the Mules' Daniel Kantor and Andrey Agajanov.

Singles
- Bonta played at No. 1 singles and bested Kantor, 7-6 (7-1), 6-0.
- Ryohei Kawai swept Katz by identical 6-1 scores at No. 2 singles.
- Brady Burns at No. 3 singles bested Benson by the same 6-1 results.
- Andrew Province captured victory at No. 4 singles over George, 6-1, 6-2.
- Smith grabbed a 6-0, 6-1, win over Shulman at No. 5.
- Ludwigstorff got the better of Matthew Wagner, 6-2, 6-1, in the sixth singles spot.

Notes
- Washington is now 11-7 overall and finishes at 5-3 in the Centennial, while Muhlenberg concludes 2-10 overall and 0-8 in the conference.
- Bonta and Smith were honored prior to the match on Senior Day.

- The Shoremen will be competing in their 11th conference tournament which dates back to 2006.
- F&M won 5-1 when the two teams met in the 2018 Centennial first round meeting.
