HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Washington College men's tennis team competed this weekend at the Haverford Invitational on the Bettye Marshall and Norman B. Bramall Tennis Courts hosted by fellow Centennial Conference member Haverford. The Shoremen competed against host Haverford and New York State colleges Hamilton and Vassar.

Singles

Aaradith Ravichandran (Chennai, India, APL Global School) highlighted the Shoremen's performance by going 3-0 in singles. In his first match on Saturday he topped Hamilton's Mark Apsey, 8-3, as the two played a pro set. Later in the day, he topped Haverford's Abhinav Nallapareddy, 6-1, 6-1. On Sunday he split the first two sets with Vassar's Arnav Agostinho, 3-6 and 6-3, before coasting to a 10-3 win in the third set.

Andre-Remi Jakobi (Tallinn, Estonia, Rocca al Mare) won two matches for Washington this weekend. He topped Hamilton's Lorenzo Gunningham, 6-1, 6-4, on Saturday and on Sunday he bested Vassar's Fernando Bauermeister, 6-4, 6-4.
Doubles

Jack Fanshawe (Brisbane, Australia, Brisbane Boys College) went 2-0 in doubles playing with two different teammates. On Saturday against Hamilton, he teamed up with
Karl Hoegstedt (West Chester, Pa., B. Reed Henderson) to down Connor Griff and Coby Feldman, 8-4. Later on Saturday, he was joined by Jakobi to get the better of Haverford's Jason Minerva and Stefan Johnson, 8-5.
