Junior softball player
Hannah Solge (Wilmington, Del./Padua Academy) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Solge led the team in batting average and runs scored in the team's final eight games in Florida this past week.
Solge hit .419 (13-for-31) with nine runs scored to lead Washington and added three doubles, five RBI and two three-hit games. Versus #9 Bethel on Tuesday in the second game of a doubleheader, she went 3-for-3 with two runs scored. In the Shoremen's 15-14 comeback win over North Park, she went 4-for-5 with three runs scored a double and an RBI. On Friday in a 20-6 five-inning win over University of New England, Solge had her second three-hit game of the week as she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs scored and a pair of two-baggers. The junior had at least one hit in six straight games during the trip to the Sunshine State.
This is Solge's first career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
