Freshman men's tennis player Andre-Remi Jakobi (Tallinn, Estonia/Rocca al Mare) is this week's Shoreman of the Week. Jakobi clinched the match for Washington College in its 6-3 victory over visiting Haverford on Wednesday afternoon to snap a nine-match losing streak to the Fords.

Jakobi secured the win for the hosts at No. 3 singles with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 triumph over Aidan Kim to make it 5-2 as the Shoremen topped the Fords for the first time since March 28, 2012. In doubles, he teamed up with Karl Hoegstedt at No. 1 as the sixth ranked doubles team in the Atlantic South Region topped Stefan Johnson and Adam Chow, ranked 14th in the region, 8-3.

This is Jakobi's first career Shoreman of the Week honor.
