Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. - Washington College Shoremen tennis senior Karl Hoegstedt won a pair of matches today to advance to the quarterfinals of the singles bracket at the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis tournament in Orlando. 

Hoegstedt dispatched Andrew Esses of Emory in straight sets (6-2, 6-4) in the first round. In round two, the senior dropped set one before rallying to take the final two sets (6-7(3), 7-5, 6-1) to defeat John Zakowski of Wisconsin-Whitewiter in a battle that lasted two and half hours. In the quarterfinal round, Hoegstedt will square off with Matthew Kandel of Williams College on Friday. The current start time for the match is 9:00 a.m. 

Hoegstedt is also partnering Andre-Remi Jakobi in the doubles bracket today. That matchup is currently in a weather dealy.
