Pat Tracy Named Associate Head Coach for Men's Lacrosse

Tracy brings over a decade of experience to the Shoremen staff.

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Men's lacrosse head coach John Nostrant has announced Pat Tracy as the new associate head coach for the Shoremen. 

"We are thrilled to announce Pat Tracy as the associate head coach at Washington College," said Nostrant. "From his playing days at St Paul's , OSU and Goucher to his coaching at UMBC, High Point , and Dartmouth he has been a pro through and through. He can coach any side of the ball and Pat is a phenomenal teacher of game. We are excited to have Pat , Molly and daughter Tatum join our WC family."

Tracy comes to Chestertown after serving as the Director of Athletics and head boys lacrosse coach at the Saints Peter & Paul School in Easton, Md. from 2018-2023. Prior to his time at Saints Peter & Paul, Tracy was the associate head coach & offensive coordinator at High Point University from 2011-2018 where he was instrumental in the building of a new Division I program. During his time at High Point, the Panthers won an Atlantic Sun regular season championship, a pair of Southern Conference regular season championships, and advanced to the NCAA tournament in 2015. In 2018, the High Point offense finished first in the Southern Conference in goals per game and ranked in the top 20 in the country. As the offensive coordinator, Tracy coached and mentored three student athletes that recorded over 150 points throughout their careers. 
Tracy came to High Point after spending four seasons at UMBC as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator. In 2008 and 2009 his defensive units finished in the top 10 in the country in goals against average as the Retrievers won the American East Championship both seasons and advanced to the NCAA tournament.
Before arriving at UMBC, Tracy served as an assistant coach at Dartmouth College and Goucher College. 
As a collegiate coach, Tracy has coached 18 All Americans, 49 All Conference selections, four conference rookies of the year, and five conference players of the year.
