LANCASTER, Pa. – The Washington College men's swimming team went 1-2 in its season opening quad-meet against Dickinson, Ursinus and host Franklin & Marshall at the Kunkel Aquatics Center in Centennial Conference men's swimming action on Saturday afternoon. The Shoremen bested Ursinus 141-118, but fell to host F&M, 159-101, and Dickinson 163-98.   Â

Shoremen Highlights

Nathan Rawa won the 100-yard backstroke (52.03) and was second in the 100 butterfly (52.13).

Chase Hensen grabbed second in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.68).
Zach Affeldt took second in the 200 breaststroke (2:13.16) and captured third in the 100 breaststoke (1:00.72) and 200 individual medley (2:03.46).

Connor Kravitz-Yoffee earned second in the 500 freestyle (5:05.64) and third in the 1000 freestyle (10:38.21).
- The 400 freestyle relay team of Hensen,
William Schmidt,
Mike Lee and Rawa finished second with a time of 3:14.52.
Notes
- The Shoremen are now 1-2 overall and 1-2 in the Centennial. The Red Devils are 3-0 overall and 3-0 in the Centennial, the Diplomats are 2-1 and 2-1 respectively and the Bears are 1-2 and 1-2 respectively. Dickinson topped F&M (131-130) and Ursinus (168-93), while F&M got the better of Ursinus (169-90).
