CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Washington College men's swim team won its home opener by taking the best time in all 11 events on Saturday afternoon in a 149-45 win over visiting McDaniel at the Casey Swim Center in Centennial Conference men's swimming action.

Shoremen Highlights

James Hackett captured two events on the afternoon as he won the 100-yard freestyle (49.92) and the 200 freestyle (1:49.70).

Nathan Rawa won a pair of events for the Shoremen as he took top spot in the 50 freestyle (21.68) and the 100 butterfly (51.60).

William Schmidt notched two victories in the 200 individual medley (2:04.52) and 500 freestyle (5:14.49).
- Winning one event each were
Joey Bond in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.72),
Niles Commodore in the 100 backstroke (57.27) and
Connor Kravitz-Yoffee in the 1000 freestyle (10:42.26).
- The 200 medley relay team of
Gabe Summa,
Brody Salpeter,
Tyler Wright and Commodore secured first place with a time of 1:42.19 and the 200 freestyle relay squad of Commodore, Hackett,
Mike Lee and Rawa took top time in 1:27.98.
Notes
- The Shoremen are now 2-2 overall and 2-2 in the Centennial and the Green Terror fall to 0-3 and 0-3 respectively.
