BRIGANTINE, N.J. – The Washington College men's rowing team captured both the first varsity eight and second varsity eight races to win the Overall Team Trophy with Shorewomen Rowing on Saturday morning at the Battle at Brigantine as the races took place on a 2,000-meter course hosted by Stockton on the Bonita Tideway. The regatta was shortened due to high winds on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
In the first varsity eight, the Shoremen beat Villanova by 9.91 seconds, followed by Stockton and Franklin & Marshall. WC had a time of 6:05.10, with Villanova recording a time of 6:15.01. In the second varsity Eight, Washington College defeated F&M and Stockton, winning the race by 7.83 seconds over Stockton with a time of 6:27.50. Stockton registered a time of 6:35.33 to come in second.
