Shoremen Edged By #10 Swarthmore

Box Score Chestertown, MD – Shoremen fall to #10 Swarthmore in last home match of the season 8-1.

Washington College 1 Ursinus 8

Doubles
#1 Karl Hoegstedt and Aaradith Ravichandran were topped in their doubles match 8-5.
#2 Johannes Ludwigstorff and Ryohei Kawaia fell in their match 8-1.
#3 Tichi Chialva and Jorge Urgal Zuleta also fell 8-5.

Singles
#1 Karl Hoegstedt lost his first singles set 6-1. In the second, he battled, but eventually fell to Swarthmore's Michael Melnikov 7-5.
#2 Ryohei Kawaia fell in his matchup 6-0 and 6-3.
#3 Aaradith Ravichandran won the only match of the afternoon for the Shoremen 6-3 and 6-2.
#4 Jorge Urgal Zuleta was swept in two sets, 6-0 for both.
#5 Johannes Ludwigstorff lost in his singles match 6-1 and 6-1.
#6 Aamish Pal of Swarthmore got an automatic win in his singles match.

Notes
The Shoremen have one regular season match left. They fall to 3-4 in the conference and currently sit in fifth place. Their playoff fate is yet to be decided.
