Senior men's basketball player
Ethan Schwantes (Winchester, Va./John Handley) is this week's Shoreman of the Week. Schwantes averaged 21.0 points per game, 11.5 rebounds per game and 2.5 blocks per game, while shooting 61% from the field and 86% from the foul line in a pair of games this week for the Shoremen.
In a 71-60 win over visiting Muhlenberg on Saturday, Schwantes scored a career-high 27 points, pulled down a personal-best 16 rebounds and blocked a career-best four shots as the squad picked up its first Centennial Conference win of the season. The senior led all players in points, boards and rejections as he notched his first-ever double figure rebounding performance as he went 7-for-11 from the floor and 13-for-16 from the foul line. On Wednesday versus Johns Hopkins, he scored a then-career best 15 points which was his first-ever double figure points performance on 4-for-7 shooting from the floor and netted all six foul shots.
This is Schwantes' first career Shoreman of the Week honor.
