Box Score HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. – Visiting Washington College won four out of six in singles to overcome a loss in doubles to take a 4-3 win over host Hampden-Sydney on Saturday afternoon at the H-SC Tennis Courts.

Doubles
- The Tigers took two of three in doubles to nab the doubles point. The Shoremen won at third doubles with
Tichi Chialva and
Sihoo Kim winning 6-2 in the first match to finish. Hampden-Sydney responded at second doubles, 6-2, over Washington's
Jorge Urgal Zuleta and
Julian Sealy in the next match to conclude. The home side took doubles with a 7-6 (7-4) victory at the top flight over
Aaradith Ravichandran and
Oskar Wroblewski.
Singles
- No. 5 singles was the first to conclude as
Kohl Perkins won 6-0, 6-1 to tie the match at 1-1.
- Third singles was the second match to finish and it was a 6-2, 6-3 victory for the Tigers over
Demir Isiker.
- At the top spot, Kim overcame a 6-3 loss in the first set to win the next two sets, 6-3, 6-4 to level the match at 2-2.
- Hampden-Sydney took a 3-2 edge at six singles in a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 win over Sealy.
- Ravichandran won No. 2 singles to even things at 3-3 in a 7-5, 5-7, 6-4 triumph to tie it at 3-3 and forced the match to come down to No. 4 singles.
- Fourth singles was a three-setter with Urgal Zuleta winning it and the match for the Shoremen, 6-2, 5-7, 7-5.
Notes
- Washington is 2-1 on the season, while Hampden-Sydney is 2-3.
- It was the Shoremen's first road contest of the season after opening the spring slate with two home matches.
