CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Washington College sailing team finished fifth out of sixth teams at its home regatta, the Washington College Team Race on Saturday on the Chester River. The Shore Sailors won one of five races as the racing finished on Saturday due to a gale forecast on Sunday and the round robin having been completed.
Washington College Team Race
- Serving as the skippers for the team race were senior Joseph Bonacci, sophomores Austin Latimer, Matt Nadolny and George Wood and freshman Imogene Nuss. Serving as the crews were junior Rachel Morgen, sophomore Nora Ciak and freshmen Ethan Rower and Lucy Sunderland.
- The Shore Sailors went 1-4 on Saturday with a win over Princeton.Â
- St. Mary's (Md.) won the regatta with a perfect 5-0 mark, beating out 4-1 SUNY Maritime. Michigan finished third at 3-2 and Fordham was fourth at 2-3. Princeton placed sixth at 0-5.

- It was the team's second home regatta this month as they hosted the Tom Noble Team Race March 1-2 and final home regatta of the season.
- Saturday started with a light shifty southerly breeze.
