Colin Gray (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) share this week's Shoreman of the Week honor. Turner had a hit in all six games this past week in Fort Pierce, Florida, while Gray had a .684 save percentage in an 8-6 win over visiting Skidmore on Wednesday.
Turner hit .464 (13-for-28) with two home runs, 12 RBI, two doubles, a triple, an .821 slugging percentage, .483 on-base percentage and a OPS of 1.304 in a 4-2 week for the Shoremen. Turner hit for the cycle in a 14-9 win over Merchant Marine on Wednesday as he went 5-for-5 with six RBI, three runs scored and two steals. On Tuesday versus Westfield State, the senior went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI. In a 14-4 win over Thiel on Saturday, Turner scored twice and drove in two runs. In Friday's 10-1 win versus Lasell, he went 2-for-5 with a double, run and RBI. He went 2-for-6 in a 10-4 victory over Kenyon on Monday. In Thursday's game against Wabash, he went 1-for-4 with a run scored.
Gray made 13 saves in the win over Skidmore on Wednesday night. Gray made eight of his 13 stops in the second half as he held the Thoroughbreds to just three goals, including just one score allowed in the fourth quarter. The sophomore also scooped up a pair of ground balls.
This is the second career Shoreman of the Week honor for Gray and the first for Turner.
