mten_team_25Ravichandran, who graduated from the College this past Sunday with a B.A. in Economics, is the first Washington College men's tennis player to earn the award since Peter Taylor '04 in 2004.

Also announced on Monday by the ITA was the ITA's Community Service Award for the Atlantic South Region and the Shoremen team shared the prize with Christopher Newport.

Head coach Constantine Ananiadis talked about his squad being recognized by the ITA.

"Community service and sportsmanship are two of the pillars our program is built on so it's nice to be recognized by our governing body in this regard. Of course, we don't do these things for the awards and accolades. We do them to give back to our community and the game of tennis and because it's the right thing to do."
