Senior softball player
Jenna Harper (Sugar Grove, Ill./Kaneland) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Harper hit .750 (6-for-8) with four runs, two doubles, eight total bases, a 1.000 slugging percentage, on OPS of 1.778 and three RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Marymount on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.
In game one, Harper went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI in the an 11-9 eight-inning victory. Harper snapped a 5-5 tie in the top of the eighth with the game-winning RBI on a base hit to left field to plate
Emma Trainer. Harper had an RBI single to right-center in the top of the fourth that scored
Lilly Wenzel. The senior had three singles and a double for five total bases in the opener. In game two, Harper was 2-for-4 with a run, RBI, double and walk in a 9-4 win. She tallied an RBI single in the top of the fourth inning to make it 6-2 for the Shorewomen to chase in
Gracelyn Goforth.
This is Harper's fourth career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
