Box Score Dixon Scores Career-Best 17 Points for Shoremen
MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Host Penn State Harrisburg had four players score in double figures on its way to a 79-66 win over visiting Washington College at the Capital Union Building in a non-conference men's basketball game on Friday night. The Lions improve to 7-3 overall, while the Shoremen drop to 1-5.

How It Happened
-Jazmon Harris canned back-to-back three-pointers to give the Lions a quick 6-0 lead 73 seconds into the contest.
-Washington would respond to trim the lead to 9-6 with 15:39 to go in the first half on a free throw by Joey Shelton.
-Penn State Harrisburg would respond with a 9-0 run to grab an 18-6 lead with 13:36 left in the first on a Austin Chimuma second chance layup and free throw as he was fouled on the play.
-Trailing 23-11 with 11:22 to go in the half, the Shoremen scored nine straight points to trim the Lions lead to 23-20 with 8:45 to play on two Tas Dixon free throws. Dixon would level the game at 25-25 on a free throw with 6:19 remaining to cap a 14-2 run by WC.
-Tied at 33-33, the Lions got two three-pointers in the last 47 seconds to take a 39-33 lead into halftime. Kahlil Williams snapped a 33-33 tie with 47 ticks left and Harris canned a triple from the right side with one second left in the half.
-Washington opened up the second half with eight of the first 12 points to trim the hosts' lead to 43-41 with 15:40 to go on a James Drury long three.
-The Lions would respond by scoring nine unanswered points to take a 52-41 lead with 13:36 to go on a lay-in by Arick Sodini. This was part of a 16-2 run by the hosts as they took a 58-43 lead with 11:25 left on a Clinton Asalu.
-The closest the Shoremen would come the rest of the night was nine points at 61-52 with 7:24 to go on a Dixon layup. The hosts would lead by as many as 19 at 73-54 with 4:29 to go on a Williams hoop.
For The Shoremen (1-5)
- Dixon (career-high 17 points to lead all players), Drury (14 points), Dave Knox (13 points and four steals to tie for tops in game), Pat Morgan (12 points) and Shelton (career-high four steals).
-Washington shot 30% (17-for-57) from the field, 20% (5-for-25) from three-point land and 75% (27-for-36) from the foul line.
-Shoremen got 24 points off of 21 Lions' turnovers.
For Penn State Harrisburg (7-3)
-Harris (16 points), Williams (12 points), Chimuma (11 points), Jourdan Wilson (10 points and contest-high four assists) and Anthony Morgan (game-topping 10 rebounds)
-The Lions shot 52% (25-for-48) from the floor, 50% (7-for-14) from beyond the arc and 60% (22-for-37) from the free throw stripe.
-Outrebounded Washington 40-31 and held a 16-7 advantage in second chance points.

-First-ever meeting between the two schools.
-Lions outscored the Shoremen in bench points, 48-6, and scored 20 points off of 14 WC turnovers.
-All six of Washington's games this season so far have been in Pennsylvania.
