Box Score Shoremen Get Goals From Four Different Players; Kaliakin Moves Into Second Place On Shoremen Career Assists List
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Washington College got four goals in the first half from four different players en route to a 4-1 Centennial Conference men's soccer win over visiting Muhlenberg College tonight in a game played on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Shoremen improved to 5-5-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the CC with the win, while the Mules fell to 3-6-2 overall and 1-3-1 in the CC with the loss. It is the first time the Shoremen have ever beaten Muhlenberg in back-to-back seasons.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen wasted little time getting on the board, as Michael Holowesko knocked home a corner kick from Dimitri Kaliakin just 4:17 into the contest to put the Shoremen up 1-0.
- Brian Wilkinson doubled the lead to 2-0 with 33:07 to go in the half after taking a pass from Kaliakin, faking a shot, then slotting a shot into the lower corner past a diving Marshall Hanyon.
- Washington then extended the lead to 3-0 with 23:41 to go in the half as Chris Lewandowski scored with his left foot on a hard, low shot into the lower left corner from 35 yards out off of an assist from Sklyer Clark.
- The Shoremen capped a dominant first half with 40.4 seconds to go when Blake Hardesty scored his first career goal, shooting into the lower left corner after receiving a pass from Matt Rannie. Derek Stiles also picked up an assist, as his throw in went straight to Rannie, who fed Hardesty for the goal.
- The Shoremen dominated the first half, holding a 12-3 advantage in shots while putting 9 shots on goal.
- Muhlenberg ended the shutout hopes of the Shoremen with just 30.6 seconds to play on an unassisted goal from Noah Fulcomer to provide the final 4-1 margin.

- Washington took 21 shots in the win, putting 12 on goal, and earned six corner kicks.
For Muhlenberg (3-6-2, 1-3-1 CC)
- Scorers: Fulcomer (1 goal).
- Goalkeeper: Hanyon (7 saves, 4 goals allowed, 90:00).
- Muhlenberg took 8 shots in the loss and earned three corner kicks.
- The Mules also picked up a team save in addition to the 7 saves from Hanyon.
Notes
- The 4 goals scored by the Shoremen in tonight's game is their most goals scored in a single game against Muhlenberg.
- Tonight's win was the first win for Washington at home against Muhlenberg, who entered tonight's game with a 12-0-1 record over the Shoremen in Chestertown.
- The 4 goals by the Shoremen tonight was also their most goals scored in a Centennial Conference game since a 4-0 victory over Haverford on October 24th, 2007.
- With his two assists, Kaliakin now has 24 assists in his career, moving him into second on the Shoremen all time list. Bill Williams '76 holds the career record with 27 assists.
- All eight of Holowesko's career goals have come off of assists from Kaliakin.
