Box Score Bruno Goes Undefeated in Singles, Doubles in Collegiate Debut
ASHLAND, Va. — The Washington College women's tennis team went a combined 19-12 in singles and doubles at the Yellow Jacket Invitational, hosted by Randolph-Macon, yesterday and today. Freshman Sarah Bruno (Haddon Township, N.J./Haddon Township) was unbeaten in both singles and doubles in her collegiate debut at the flighted round-robin match-up tournament.

Singles
- Bruno defeated opponents from Bridgewater and Virginia Wesleyan at No. 3 and one from Randolph-Macon at No. 1.
- Krista Filiopoulos went 2-1 in singles, winning once at No. 2 and once in a non-flight match and losing once at No. 1 to an opponent from Bridgewater. Ella Samer won a match at No. 1 and another at No. 2 and lost a non-flight match to an opponent from Randolph-Macon.
- Riley Katzman won a match at No. 2 against Randolph-Macon and went 1-1 at No. 4. Kiran Pant went 2-0 at No. 5 and lost a match at No. 3 to Randolph-Macon.
- Mariah Thomas went 1-1 at No. 6 and picked up a win at No. 4 against Randolph-Macon. Hayley Sanchez and Paige Rebstock lost at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, against Randolph-Macon.
Doubles
- Bruno and Samer were winners at No. 1 against Randolph-Macon. Bruno and Filiopoulos won at No. 1 against Virginia Wesleyan and at No. 2 against Bridgewater. Samer and Katzman lost at No. 1 against Bridgewater and at No. 2 against Virginia Wesleyan. Filiopoulos and Katzman were winners at No. 2 against Randolph-Macon.
- Pant and Thomas went 2-1 at No. 3 doubles, while Rebstock and Sanchez were 0-2 at No. 4.
