How It Happened
- Washington got the goal it needed at the 8:51 mark when Jenkins headed in a direct kick taken by James Strine following a foul by Muhlenberg.

- In the second half, Philip Bell nearly tied the contest in the 52nd minute, but his header went just wide for the Mules.
- Greg Adams had a chance to put the Shoremen ahead by two at the 73:56 mark from about 10 yards out, but the shot was saved by Brendan Duffy.
- The Mules last chance came with 3:44 left when Taylan Akdag's shot was deflected by a Washington defender wide to the right.  Muhlenberg got a corner kick off of the shot, but could not generate another shot and WC held on for the win.

Quote From Head Coach Roy Dunshee
"Muhlenberg was a very difficult opponent.  They are fast, fit, organzied and aggressive.  We had to dig deep to keep them out of our goal.  I was really proud of our work rate.  We were under heavy pressure and our boys simply would not quit."
