Box Score Ulizio Nets First Two Career Goals for Washington
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Freshman midfielder Emily Ulizio (Townsend, Del./MOT Charter) notched her first two career goals as visiting Washington College topped host Virginia Wesleyan, 5-0, in a non-conference field hockey game on Saturday afternoon on Birdsong Field. The Shorewomen improve to 2-0, while the Marlins fall to 0-1.

How It Happened
- Cristen Quillen scored her second goal in as many games to put Washington ahead for the rest of the game 8:33 into the second quarter on a pass from Virginia Beach native Jillian Brejnik.
- Ulizio would notch her first collegiate goal with 1:20 remaining in the second as she scored unassisted and the Shorewomen would take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
- The Shorewomen broke open the game with a three-goal fourth quarter. Maddie Knight scored in her second consecutive game with 7:33 remaining in the game to push the lead to three and 1:58 later Ulizio extended the lead to 4-0 as she finished off a Julianna Sterling pass.
- Kate Gromacki finished the scoring with 57 ticks left in the fourth with Marah Vain-Callahan chalking up her first career assists and point on the goal.
