GREENWOOD, Ind. – Two Washington College softball players have been named to the 2025 CSC Academic All-District® for softball. Recent graduate, infielder
Chloe Trefz (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) and rising senior, outfielder
Mia Mavoides (Phoenix, Ariz./Arcadia) were selected to the Academic All-District® team by members of the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be on the team, a student-athlete must have a GPA (grade-point average) of at least 3.50 and is not rounded up. This is the first time that both Trefz and Mavoides have been named to the team.
Trefz, who was named All-Centennial Conference honorable mention on May 8, helped the Shorewomen reach the Centennial Conference Tournament for the third straight year this spring. She hit a career-best .310 at the plate and is now a two-time all-conference honoree. Trefz was named the Centennial's Scholar-Athlete of the Year for Softball earlier this month.
The recent graduate was an Economics major and finished with a 3.99 grade-point average.
Mavoides earned All-CC first team honors earlier this month and all-conference recognition for the first time. She hit a team-best and career-high .333 with 16 RBI to go along with a team-best 14 stolen bases this spring.
The rising senior is a Business major and currently has a 3.823 grade-point average.
