Junior volleyball player Alexis Stubbs (Marietta, Ga./Mount Paran Christian School) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Stubbs handed out career assist 1,000 in Saturday's four-set victory over visiting Immaculata.

In Saturday's four-set win over Immacaulta, the junior reached the 1,000 career helper mark on a kill by Lyndsey Wessel in the fourth set that gave WC a 21-14 lead en route to a 25-18 fourth set win that secured the match victory as Stubbs had 30 assists in the triumph and tied her career-high in aces with six. In Thursday's three-set triumph against Wilson, Stubbs had match-bests of 17 assists and three aces. Alexis Stubbs averaged 6.71 assists per set and 1.29 aces per set in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen. The junior enters this week with 1,001 all-time helpers.

This is Stubbs' first career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
