Box Score Herdegen Scores Three Goals in Loss
HAVERFORD, PA -- Thirteenth-ranked host Haverford
College took a 5-1 lead in the first quarter of a 13-7 Centennial
Conference men's lacrosse victory over visiting Washington College
this afternoon in Haverford, PA. The Fords improved to 5-4 overall
and 1-2 in conference play with the win, while the Shoremen fell to
3-5 and 1-3 with the loss.
Haverford's 5-1 lead became a 7-2 advantage by
halftime as the Fords held a 24-7 advantage in shots in the first
half.
Myles Monaghan scored five goals
and assisted on another for Haverford in the win, while
Travis Gregory had three goals and two assists and
Andrew Kim had two goals and two assists.
Max Cassidy scored two goals and assisted on
another for the Fords. Haverford finished with a 43-19 advantage in
the game.
Junior midfielder Doug Herdegen (Baltimore,
MD/Archbishop Curley) scored three goals in the loss for
Washington, while junior attackman Josh Perlow (Owings
Mills, MD/Boys Latin) had two goals and assist. Sophomore
attackman Trey Hilberg (Upperco, MD/Hereford) and
sophomore midfielder Tom Rixey (Virginia Beach, VA/Norfolk
Academy) scored one goal each.
The Shoremen return to action one week from today
with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against
Gettysburg.
