Box Score Perlow Scores Three Goals in
Loss
SWARTHMORE, PA -- Host Swarthmore College outscored
visiting Washington College, 8-2, over the middle two quarters en
route to an 11-7 Centennial Conference men's lacrosse victory
tonight on Clothier Field. The Garnet improved to 2-7 overall and
2-5 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to
3-7 and 1-5 with the loss.
Washington held a 3-2 lead early in the second
quarter before Swarthmore scored the final four goals of the period
to take a 6-3 advantage into halftime following a Gavin
Musynske tally with 33 seconds on the clock. The Garnet
netted four of the five third-quarter goals to build a 10-4
advantage on a Tyler Bradshaw goal with 1:42 left
in the third. Washington scored three of the four fourth-quarter
goals to provide the final margin.
Bradshaw scored four goals in the victory for
Swarthmore, while John Bukawyn had two goals and
one assist. Wes Marcik and Musynske each scored
two goals for the Garnet. Kevin Friedenburg made
17 saves between the pipes, while Mark Czernyk was
14-of-21 on face-offs.
Junior attackman Josh Perlow (Owings Mills,
MD/Boys Latin) scored three goals to lead the Shoremen,
while sophomore midfielder Tom Rixey (Virginia Beach,
VA/Norfolk Academy) and sophomore midfielder Dave Lundquist (West Chester, PA/Henderson) each had one goal
and one assist for Washington.
The Shoremen return to action Saturday with a 2:00
p.m. Centennial Conference game at Dickinson.
