CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Sophomore midfielder Alli Dudley (New Windsor, Md./Francis Scott Key) scored the final two goals of the game as host Washington College defeated visiting Wesley College, 4-2, in a non-conference field hockey game this afternoon in Chestertown. The Shorewomen scored on the first shot of the game as senior attack Grace Phillips (Stafford, Va./Colonial Forge) found the back of the cage just 3:05 into the game. The Wolverines evened the score with 19:39 to play on their first shot as Jessica Giaccone beat a defender in transition. The Shorewomen regained the lead just 56 seconds into the second half as senior attack Jackie O'Connell (Northampton, Pa./Northampton Area) scored from just in front of the goal off a pass from Tordella. Wesley tied the game at 2-2 when Gannon scored on a penalty stroke with 25:52 to go, but Dudley put Washington back in front for good just 24 seconds later when she scored from the right of Daniels.
