Box Score Looney Scores Three Goals, Assists on Another in Loss
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Visiting 16th-ranked Frostburg State rallied from an 8-3 third-quarter deficit to post a 13-10 non-conference men's lacrosse victory over host Washington College this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr., Stadium.

How It Happened
- The Bobcats took a 3-2 lead through one quarter as Blake Grudzien scored off an Adam Gross assist with 4:45 left in the period.
- The Shoremen dominated the second quarter, scoring three times to take a 5-3 lead and out-shooting the Bobcats, 24-3, in the period.
- Washington scored the first three goals of the third quarter to extend its advantage to 8-3. Sid Looney scored 21 seconds into the half, Tanner Barbieri scored off a Tyler Powers feed with 13:06 left in the period, and Looney scored again with 6:39 remaining.
- Frostburg then started its big run, scoring four goals in a span of just 1:34. Adam Gross scored with 5:28 on the clock, Spenser Love found Nick Pontorno for a goal 22 seconds later, Chase Cullison scored 27 seconds after that, and Love scored off a Tate Rolland pass 45 seconds after Cullison's goal. The Bobcats then tied the score as Rolland found Nick Stailey for a goal with 2:01 left in the third to level to score at 8-8.
- Rolland scored back-to-back goals for the Bobcats to open the fourth, the first with 10:17 to go and the second off a Love assist with 9:56 remaining, to give Frostburg a 10-8 lead and complete a 7-0 run.
- Matty Allen scored for the Shoremen with 7:16 remaining to get the Shoremen back to within a goal at 10-9, but the Bobcats scored the next three, capped off by a Gross tally with 16 seconds to go, to extend the lead to 13-9. Allen scored off a Powers assist with just over a second to play to provide the final margin.
