Clark Scores Team-High 12 Points For The Hosts

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Dickinson scored the game's first 13 points and never trailed on its way to an 81-55 win over host Washington College on Saturday afternoon in a Centennial Conference women's basketball game at the Cain Athletic Center.

How It Happened
- The Red Devils came out strong by scoring the contest's opening 13 points to lead 13-0 with 4:44 to go in the first quarter on a Jennifer Smith layup.  The Red Devils led 17-8 after the first quarter. 
- Washington scored nine of the first 14 points of the second quarter to cut the Dickinson lead to 22-17 with 6:58 left in the second on a three-pointer by Jordan Weir.  It was as close as the Shorewomen would get the rest of the game.
- The Red Devils outscored the Shorewomen 19-11 the rest of the quarter to take a 41-28 lead at halftime.  Hannah Heiring capped the first half scoring on a layup with one tick left in the second. 
- Dickinson outscored Washington 15-8 in the third quarter to take a 58-36 lead after three quarters.  The guests scored the final 11 points of the third after a Weir layup cut the lead to 47-36 with 6:13 in the third.  The closest WC got in the third was nine at 43-34 on two Cassidy Quattro free throws with 7:40 remaining.
- The Red Devils outscored the Shorewomen in the fourth quarter by a 23-19 margin.  Dickinson led by as many as 29 at 75-46 with 3:54 left on a pair of Kassidy Lesher free throws.

For The Shorewomen (7-7, 4-5 CC)
- Caitlyn Clark (team-highs of 12 points and three assists), Quattro (squad-high nine rebounds), Ali Grundy and Lex Krahling (three assists to tie for team-best).
- The hosts shot 31% (20-for-65) from the floor, 30% (6-for-20) from beyond the arc and 75% (9-for-12) from the free throw stripe.
- The Shorewomen turned it over just 13 times.

For Dickinson (10-4, 7-2 CC)
- Helen Roberts (game-high 23 points, 7-for-11 from three-point land), Mary Martin (15 points and game-topping eight assists), Lesher (game-bests of 11 rebounds and three steals).
-The Red Devils shot 39% (25-for-64) from the floor, 36% (9-for-25) from three-point range and 71% (22-for-31) from the foul line.
- Dickinson outscored Washington in points in the paint, 30-14, in second chance points, 17-6, points off of turnovers, 13-5, and fast-break points, 9-2.
- The Red Devils held a 48-39 advantage in rebounds in the games, while coughing up the ball just 10 times.

Notes
- Clark was named the Goose Nation TV Player of the Game on the webcast of the game. 
- Grundy had her program-record streak of four straight games of 20 or more points come to an end as she was held to three points by Dickinson.
