LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior center
Kaitlyn Boggs (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball for the week of February 16-22. This is the fourth time Boggs has won the Centennial's weekly award in her career and the second time this campaign.
Boggs averaged 23 points, 11 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 62.5% from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen as they clinched a spot in the Centennial Conference Tournament for the fifth straight season. In Saturday's 58-55 win at Ursinus to seal the bid, the senior snapped a 51-51 tie with a traditional three-point play after grabbing an offensive rebound and converting the layup while drawing the foul. That play put Washington ahead for good. Boggs led all players with 24 points, while pulling down nine rebounds and netting two blocks and two steals. She also drained a career-best 10 foul shots in the victory. In Wednesday's 52-41 victory over visiting Haverford, the senior recorded her 13th double-double of the season with 22 points and 13 boards to go along with three blocks.
Prior to today, Boggs previously captured the award on November 26, 2024, February 25, 2025, and December 2, 2025.
