Box Score Shorewomen Use Balanced Attack in Victory
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Host Washington College scored the first 13 points of the third quarter to open up a 20-point lead en route to a 66-58 Centennial Conference women's basketball victory over visiting Swarthmore tonight inside Cain Athletic Center.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen used a 7-0 run to build a 14-5 lead on a Kat Moore jumper with 1:16 left in the first quarter. Washington ended the period with a 14-7 advantage.
- Washington held a lead of between four and eight points throughout the second quarter and took a 32-25 lead into the intermission.
- The Shorewomen's 13 unanswered points to open the third quarter ballooned the lead to 45-25 on a Taylor Samuels jumper with 6:09 on the clock. Washington led by at least 15 points until the Garnet ended the game on a 17-2 run. Their biggest lead came on a Lex Krahling three-pointer with 7:52 remaining in the fourth quarter which put the Shorewomen up, 64-41.
For the Shorewomen (8-10, 5-8 Centennial Conference)
- Cassidy Quattro (12 points); Samuels (10 points, 3-for-4 field goals, 4-for-4 free throws); Krahling (10 points); Ali Grundy (9 points, 6 assists); Kristi Kozlowski (8 points); Caitlyn Clark (7 points, 8 assists)
- The Shorewomen shot 42.4% from the field and converted all seven of their free throws in the game. They also assisted on 24 of their 28 made field goals.
For Swarthmore (2-15, 2-10 Centennial Conference)
- Lindsay O'Sullivan (15 points, 9-for-9 free throws, 9 rebounds); Hayley Raymond (16 points, 7 rebounds)
- Swarthmore shot 25.3% from the field, but held a 57-39 rebounding advantage.
Notes
- Samuels, who scored in double figures for the first time in her collegiate career, was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewomen Player of the Game on the webcast of the contest.
