Box Score Quattro Tallies 16 Points and Pulls Down Nine Boards
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Host Ursinus used a 9-0 run late in the second quarter to take the lead for good on its way to a 64-49 win against visiting Washington College on Thursday evening at Helfferich Hall in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The Bears are now 14-8 overall and 11-6 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen fall to 7-14 and 4-12 respectively.

How It Happened
- After falling down 15-10 with 2:41 to go in the first quarter after a Maya Kornfeld jumper, Washington scored eight straight points to take an 18-15 lead with 48 seconds left on a Kristi Kozlowski layup. After Ursinus tied it at 18-18 on a free throw by 12 ticks left by Lydia Kostanzer, Emily Helms responded for the Shorewomen with a three-pointer with three seconds left to take a 21-18 lead after one.
- With the score tied 28-28 with 3:20 left in the second quarter following a bucket by the Shorewomen's Cassidy Quattro, the Bears scored nine straight points to lead 37-28 with 1:49 remaining in the second on a Aliyah Stephens three-pointer. Madeline Williams capped the first half scoring on a jumper 29 seconds later to trim the Bears' lead to 37-30 and that was the halftime score.
- Each team scored 10 points in the third quarter as Ursinus took a 47-40 lead into the fourth.
- Kostanzer gave the hosts a 53-40 lead as she converted a layup 2:24 into the fourth as Ursinus scored the first six points of the quarter. The closest WC would come the rest of the way nine points at 53-44 following a lay-in by Quattro with 6:39 remaining.
For The Shorewomen (7-14, 4-12 CC)
- Quattro (team-high 16 points and contest-high nine rebounds), Kristi Kozlowski (11 points and eight boards), Caitlyn Clark and Emily Thiemann (two steals), Madeline Williams (three assists)
- Washington shot 35% from the field (20-for-58), 22% from three-point range (2-for-9) and 70% from the foul line (7-for-10).
- Washington had 20 turnovers in the contest.
- The Shorewomen held a 43-34 advantage on the glass, while outscoring the Bears in bench points (19-4) and second chance points (11-6).
For Ursinus (14-8, 11-6 CC)
- Stephens (game-bests of 21 points and five blocks), Kornfeld (14 points and three steals), Gabby Downs (10 points and six rebounds), Kostanzer (four steals and two rejections)
- The Bears totaled a 24-8 advantage in points off of turnovers, 2-0 in transition points and 36-32 in points in the paint.
- Ursinus shot 42% from the field (25-for-59), 23% from behind the arc (3-for-13) and 65% from foul line (11-for-17).
- The Bears had just 10 turnovers in the win.
