McFalls Scores Career-High Four Times for Washington

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Visiting Washington College took an 8-2 lead into halftime and never trailed on its way to a 13-4 win over host McDaniel in Centennial Conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at Gill Stadium.  The Shoremen improve to 2-1 on the season as they win their conference opener, while the Green Terror slide to 0-2 overall and in conference.

How It Happened
- Sean Reilly put Washington ahead for the rest of the game 48 seconds into the first quarter for the game's opening goal.  Just under two minutes later, Brady McFalls finished off a feed from Joe Maimone to put the Shoremen ahead by two with 12:14 to go in the first. 
- McDaniel would cut it to 2-1 with 9:19 left in the first quarter as Pat Fegan scored and John Lux notching the helper.
- McFalls would tally his second of the quarter to make it 3-1 with 5:03 to go in the quarter from Kain Domenech before Fegan answered 51 seconds later and it would be the last goal McDaniel would score for 42:01. 
- Domenech would make it 4-2 with 2:23 to go on a man-up tally from Maimone and Charlie Wittich capped the first quarter scoring with an assist from Jackson Torppey with 43 ticks to go to make it 5-2 after one.
- Washington would score all three goals in the second quarter to take an 8-2 advantage into halftime.  Wittich scored 12 ticks in from Kyle Gittelman and Ewan Temple scored the final two goals of the quarter with 11:02 and 5:50 left respectively with Maimone getting the helper on Temple's second goal.
- The Shoremen outscored the Green Terror 3-0 in the third quarter and both teams each scored twice in the fourth quarter to provide the final margin.

For The Shoremen (3-1, 1-0 CC)
- Scoring: McFalls (career-best four goals), Temple (three goals), Maimone (three assists and one goal), Logan Clefisch (two assists and one goal), Wittich (two goals), Domenech (two assists)
- In Goal: Chris Del Rosario (53:16, three goals allowed, eight saves), Robert Eigenrauch (4:01, one goal allowed, one save), Cole Corrigan (2:43, zero goals allowed, one save)
- Maimone (career-high and game-best five ground balls) and Joey Sivo (12-of-17 on face-offs).
- Gittelman (four ground balls, three caused turnovers and assist)
- The Shoremen held a 68-25 advantage in shots and won 15 of the game's 21 face-offs.
- Washington was 18-for-20 in clears in the contest and was 2-for-5 on the man-up.
- Washington had 14 turnovers, while causing 14 McDaniel turnovers and held a 29-14 advantage in ground balls.

For McDaniel (0-2, 0-2 CC)
- Scoring: Fegan (two goals)
- In Goal: Brighton Lorber (60:00, 13 goals allowed, 23 saves)
- Logan Feuer (three ground balls)
- The Green Terror were 21-for-27 in clears, 0-for-6 in man-up situations and turned it over 22 times, while notching three caused turnovers.

Notes
- Washington extended its winning streak over McDaniel to 21 straight games and has now won 46 games all-time versus McDaniel, the most against any one opponent.
