McFalls Scores Three Times and Brennan and Clefisch Hand Out Two Assists for WC

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting #7 Gettysburg outscored host Washington College 8-2 in the second half to turn an 8-6 lead into a 16-8 win in Centennial Conference men's lacrosse action on Tuesday afternoon at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium.  The Bullets improve to 3-0 overall and 3-0 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen are now 2-4 and 1-3 respectively.

How It Happened
- After allowing the game's first goal, Washington answered with three straight to take a 3-1 lead with 8:01 left in the first quarter on a Kain Domenech goal.  Gettysburg countered with the next two to tie it at 3-3 with 5:19 remaining in the first on a score by McCain Wnek from Aidan Wykoff
- The Shoremen scored two of the last goals in the first to lead 5-4 after one with Joe Maimone putting the hosts ahead 5-4 on a feed from Logan Clefisch.
- In the second quarter, the Bullets scored the first three goals to take a 7-5 lead with 4:12 left in the second on a Kyle Howard tally.  Nick Cooper put Gettysburg ahead for the rest of the game, 6-5, 69 seconds earlier.  McFalls ended the run with 1:52 left to trim the lead to 7-6 before the Bullets answered with a Wykoff goal from Howard with 1:01 remaining to cap the scoring in the first half.
- Leading 8-6 entering the third quarter, the Bullets scored the first five goals of the third lead 13-6 with 1:48 remaining in the third on a Howard finisher from Kieran Ward.  Gettysburg took a 13-7 lead into the fourth.
- The Bullets outscored the Shoremen, 3-1, in the fourth quarter to provide the final margin.

For The Shoremen (2-4, 1-3 CC)
- Scoring: McFalls (three goals), Domenech (two goals and one assist), Brennan and Clefisch (two assists), Maimone (goal and assist)
- In Goal: Chris Del Rosario (60:00, 16 goals allowed, 13 saves)
- Kyle Gittelman (career-high eight ground balls), Gittelman and Ryan Leahy (two caused turnovers)
- Washington was 21-for-26 in clears in the contest and 1-for-2 in man-up situations.
- Washington had 18 turnovers, while causing nine Gettysburg turnovers.

For #7 Gettysburg (3-0, 3-0 CC)
- Scoring: Howard (five goals and four assists), Jack Fletcher (two goals and three assists), Wykoff (three goals and one assist), Kieran Ward (three assists), Cooper (three goals), Wnek (two goals)
- In Goal: Nolan Sullivan (60:00, eight goals allowed, 14 saves)  
- Alex Ulrich (18-for-26 at the X and game-high ground balls), Pat Cosgrove (two caused turnovers)
- The Bullets were 21-for-26 in clears, 1-for-3 in man-up situations and turned it over 16 times, while notching eight caused turnovers.
- Gettysburg held a 48-37 advantage in shots and held a 37-29 edge in ground balls.
- The guests went 19-for-28 at the X for the contest.

- McFalls was named Goose Nation TV Shoremen Player of the Game.
